Riddlesdown Collegiate Freedom of Information Scheme
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives the public right of access to information produced in the course of the Collegiate’s work. Under the Act, public authorities, including academies, should be clear and proactive about the information they will make public.
The Collegiate Trust (TCT) has developed this publication scheme which lists all documents that the Collegiate will make public as a matter of routine. TCT is responsible for maintaining the scheme. The scheme will be reviewed on an annual basis.
The Scheme sets out:
- The classes of information that we publish or intend to publish;
- The manner in which the information will be published; and
- Whether the information is available free of charge.
There are some exemptions to the rights set out in the Act. Personal information for example will not be made public and is covered by the Data Protection Act .
