Welcome to Phoenix College

Learning is a journey! The Phoenix community inspires students and encourages them to take pride in everything that they strive to achieve during their time at Riddlesdown. We have worked together to build a vision for the College, enabling us to work towards a common set of values, which the staff and students mutually understand and endeavour to uphold at all times.

Phoenix College is both a supportive and purposeful environment in equal measure. We encourage a culture which inspires; discovery, the love of learning and the ability to look at the world in new and innovative ways.

We view education as the most valuable gift a young person can receive and believe it is vital preparation for empowering the young to educate themselves for the future, enjoying each part and sharing the love of learning within a positive, enquiring, like-minded community. Praise and encouragement are at the heart of Phoenix College and we never forget that together we shape the minds of the future. We believe that every student is unique and important in their own way and each student has the ability to succeed.

Our College offers students the opportunity to engage in a rich variety of activities both inside and outside the classroom and our successes at Collegiate Sports Days are just one of the many ways we consistently demonstrate our goals, achievements and team-spirit. We actively promote students to take full advantage of all of the wonderful extracurricular and enrichment activities on offer in and around Phoenix. Consequently, Phoenix students become confident, polite and well-rounded individuals who are ready to embrace the wider world with enthusiasm, commitment, resilience and integrity.

Phoenix looks forward to welcoming your child on board; ready to embark on a journey together towards excellence.
